Accessibility Statement

Granisul Stone is committed to ensuring digital accessibility of its web services for all users, architects, specifiers, and commercial partners, complying with international best practices and European standard EN 301 549.

1. Compliance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They are structured into three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

The official website of Granisul Stone substantially complies with WCAG 2.2 Level AA and the technical specifications of European standard EN 301 549.

2. Technical Measures Implemented

  • Accessible Design System: Color contrast ratios rigorously calibrated to exceed 4.5:1 for standard body text and 3:1 for graphical user interface components and large text.
  • Full Keyboard Operability: All buttons, filter chips, links, and form controls are operable via keyboard, featuring unmistakable visual focus rings (high-contrast gold ring 2px wide with 3px offset).
  • Bypass Blocks (Skip to Content): Direct bypass link to jump directly to the primary content landmark at the top of every page.
  • Semantic Structure & ARIA Landmarks: Correct HTML5 sectioning markup with standard ARIA landmarks (banner, main, navigation, contentinfo) and sequential heading hierarchy without skipped levels.
  • Descriptive Image Alternatives: The entire architectural natural stone collection provides informative alternative text (alt) detailing stone variety, lithological classification, and quarry origin.
  • Accessible & Transparent Forms: Explicit programmatic text labels on all input fields, clear completion guidelines, error prevention, and zero exclusionary security challenges (no inaccessible captchas).

3. Assessment & Methodology

Website accessibility was evaluated using automated static and dynamic audit suites (axe-core, automated contrast testing, semantic linters), supplemented by manual keyboard navigation and screen reader audits across desktop and mobile devices.
